Fantastic idea! I would of course hope that they would run of renewable energy and only be on at night.
I also second the motion of being able to use them as car melters if needed.
CAROLE– Cool, glad you saw it. When it becomes available you’ll know what I mean when I request it as a Christmas present. 
GINNY– Don’t know why it would be. It’s a great idea.
SPROCKETBOY– Yeah, the melting part is not a bad idea… OK maybe just fend them off. Kind of like the shield in the very old arcade video game “Asteroids”.
IAN– It is a great concept isn’t it. Looking forward to see how it develops.

That light lane is so cool looking but even better is how much safer it would be for night cycling. Love it!
