This Kid Needs A White Jersey…

Well… the old man (that’s me) went out for another ride with his best bud (the new Best Young Rider).  I still haven’t made it out on my road bike.  In fact, I think it’s been almost four weeks.  Still, I would take a casual ride with my son any day over a training ride.  He’s still so excited about riding the two wheeler.  That’s all he talks about when he’s pedaling:  “it’s so cool being on a two wheeler… watch what I can do on the two wheeler… I can make it up that hill on my two wheeler.”  It’s so fun listening to him!  The training wheels are such a distant memory.  Now, he doesn’t know the meaning of slow.  It’s all out… mashing the pedals… hammering it… even on the way to school.  Check out this picture… I’m having to draft:

So, even though I’ve been off the road bike for a while, I believe I’m still getting a good workout.
 Thanks little buddy!

You take the coolest photos while you’re riding your bike. I especially like the first one.

The best training is the kind you get when you don’t realize you are getting it. Have fun out there!

GINNY– Thanks… so far so good. I just have to make sure there are no cars around and not do something stupid. I was safe here because we were on the greenway.

UNCADAN8– That’s true… good point. I’m certainly having fun. :)

Hey @donald, I love the draft photo. Super-dad-cool.

Jersey? Hmm… I think it sounds like a job for Santa. I’m sure if a letter makes it out really soon, Santa will get it in time. By summer you’ll be able to hold on to a tow rope and he’ll pull you up the hills.

Too cute!!!

Sorry to hear about work – I hope your job is safe!

JUDI– Thanks… so far, so good.

IAN– Yeah… he has some cool gloves and I may look for some kind of jersey in the future. I’m not sure what he would like yet. I may have to show him some options. Then I’ll know what to get. Yes, he could soon be my trainer!

Already teaching your son to lead the pace line?

Smart!

Does he have to pay for the after- ride beers too?

Sounds good to me! I know you wouldn’t turn them down. :)

Your son is so cool riding a single speed! Happy Christmas.

GROOVER– Isn’t he though? Daddy really needs to get with it.
Merry Christmas to you as well!
