Let’s Ride Little Buddy!
I can’t begin to express how proud I am of my son. On Thanksgiving Day, he grabbed a wrench and took off his training wheels. He was all of a sudden ready to ride. I didn’t want to rush him earlier on. He gave it his best a few times but just wasn’t ready… so we put them back on. Now, he’s unleashed and ready to roll. He’s so excited and so am I. Yesterday, he was so pumped he asked if he could bike to school. So, mommy pedaled along with him and then I met him for the ride home.
It’s like I’m learning to ride all over again… getting just as much excitement as he is with this new found freedom. Good thing he isn’t any taller… I would be spending too much money this Christmas on his first road bike. Shhh… don’t tell his mommy I even thought about it!
Here’s 52 seconds of how excited he’s been… I call it Wide Open:

PAGE– Glad you enjoyed a good laugh! Don’t worry I’m sure your little one will also get used to being around cameras really fast!
JEFF– It’s so cool! I can’t wait to take him on a little longer ride. Soon, he’ll be out pedaling the “old man!”
It seems that you have a natural on the bike and infront of the camera. He seems to take after you a bit, eh?
With his road bike he’ll need a jersey, gloves, saddle bag…, I mean when and if he gets a road bike.
Congratulations to your little buddy!
Could you please post the link to his blog?
And how do I get a pair of those pajamas?
Good for your little dude! I know that is an exciting day for all dads. When I learned to ride my bike at 27, my dad almost cried.
I still laugh every time I see this! It was hilarious and I can always count on Troupe to keep me entertained!
CAROLE– Yeah, I wonder?
IAN– He’s maybe a little like me.
Yeah, I can’t wait to get him a jersey. He actually already has gloves. They’re a cool blue pair from Trek… flames in the design on top.
WILL– Thanks! He’s working on title for his new blog… and practicing typing.
Maybe one day. As for the pajamas… they’re a warm comfortable fleece. I think they would work very well for you in Switzerland. I just don’t know if they have your size.:)
CHRIS– Good Times… Good Times. I know your Dad was proud.
And think how much you’ve improved!
KSTEP– I’m so glad you captured this. I’m sorry… I totally forgot to add that you shot the video. I’ll have to do that! You’ll now have to capture part two when you come back.:) Thanks so much!
KAREN– I’m not sure I’ll be able to explain that. I guess we need to have the camera ready! Hope al is well with you guys. Have a Very Merry Christmas!
This is really great! Be sure to keep it so that when he is dating in high school you can show it to his girl friends.
ARLYN– Thanks. Good to hear from you… I haven’t seen you on-line in a while. Hope all is well. I’ll check back in on you updated “Adventures.”
SPROCKETBOY– Yes… it will be a perfect conversation piece.
That’s very cute. He might not think that way when you will show this video on his 21st birthday but – oh well.
GROOVER– Sure… but won’t it be fun? OK… maybe not… I won’t do that to him. But wait– I think even then the girls will find it cute. Maybe he’ll thank me.
