Egg-topia…

In my last post, you saw my first attempt at the:
“Across The Pond, Chicken vs. Duck Egg, Cyclosportive Challenge.”
I look at it as an unsuccesful attempt rather than a failed attempt because the eggs I was supposed to pick up and get home uncracked were sold out.  As you may remember, Tom, my challenger and cycling friend in England, made it home with a total of five duck eggs… no cracks! Congrats again Tom!  It seems farmers in England have no trouble selling their goods as well.
But I couldn’t just let it go.  I would have to take another crack at this challenge.
I would have to go above and beyond!

May I be the first to lay a congratulatory comment on your adventure. Well done - two dozen eggs and another great movie. Your little boy is gonna be King of the Mountains for sure with all that egg-cellent protein inside him! And that breakfast sure looked good too… mmmmmmm

TOM– Thanks… it was lots of fun… but very cold! I’m surprised the eggs didn’t freeze on the way home.
We still have to conjure up our next Challenge… I’ll be thinking. Best, Donald

That is hilarious! I feel like I know that plate from somewhere?!?! LOL Nicely done DJ!!!

I find my acting skills lacking. Oh well at least it was mission accomplished

KRISTIN– Thanks… the plate looks just as good with a certain kind of homemade cookie on it as well!

BRIAN SAIN– My Egg Challenge Lieutenant. Thanks again for taking on the role of dom-egg-tique! That made up for your acting skills. Of course, what can one expect when you’re fighting hypothermia and frostbite!

Congratulations on a job well done.

These videos have me cracking up. I can see a series of these, maybe a dozen?

CONGRATS! You guys will have to try some other challenges now and make it a regular thing.

IAN– Thanks… I guess it’s a little extra drive to get me out in the colder weather.

STACY– Glad I could scramble up your routine with a little fun… a dozen? Just don’t ask for a Baker’s.

Jennifer– Thanks… It’s no marathon but it’ll do. Yes, we are actually working on our next “Across The Pond Challenge.” Who knows what it will be. Stand by…

Eggsellent job you two! Great video! And that kid of yours has a real talent!

Uncadan8– Thanks… it’s been fun. My son does like to ham it up for the camera.

After the bitter disappointment revealed by the last video, I was moved by this fine sequel: I laughed, I cried, I cheered. The puns, the scenery, the flashing wheels, the excitement, the kid-in-the-hat: this is drama. How will you top this?

SPROCKETBOY– What a glowing review by “the reviewer” himself… my life is complete. Guess I’ll have to figure out how to top it. I’ll give it a try.

Maybe you should try doing it without the cartons?

very eggciting

The good looking guy with the polka dot hat stole the show again.

I hope your next post deals with the dangers of high cholesterol

Hey folks, you guys are a lot of fun to read and watch. I found your link through a link to Tom’s blog from a daily news letter I read from Ottawa, Canada while I sit in Toronto, Canada at work. I will have to try this challenge someday but the cold winter has set in and riding on a trainer indoors does not provide the same risk factor. Side note, I had a proud moment when I saw the Cervelo in the video, cheers from Canada. IronWes

Well done, Donald. Loved the egg-head. :-) It’s getting chilly over in your part of the world, hey?

WILL– Yeah… he’s pretty cool. I just told him you said that and he flashed a huge smile! :)

IRONWES– Thanks for reading… it’s been fun. We’re working on our next challenge… maybe it’ll have to wait until Spring… maybe not. I’ll tell my buddy you liked his Cervelo. Cheers to you! Donald

GROOVER– Thanks… luckily no yolk on my face. Yes… it’s chilly… actually cold. My fingers were numb toward the end of that ride… and I had on full gloves. Good thing I didn’t drop the cargo.
