Man who kept athletes going… is gone.
Being a graduate of the University of Florida… I thought I’d share this story. Some of you may have seen it already. If not, you can read on. Dr. Robert Cade, who invented Gatorade and sparked the multimillion dollar sports drink industry, died Tuesday of kidney failure. And to think it all started with this question: “Doctor, why don’t football players wee-wee after a game?” You may be saying… “Why should I care?” Well… when you look at all the sports energy and recovery drinks on the market now… how many there are to choose from and how companies keep working to improve them… we can thank Dr. Robert Cade for his contribution which really started this race! Interesting trivia. Sad that he’s gone. Often we consume these things without thinking of who was behind it. I’m going to check out that link you posted.
